To customize the to-dos on a specific order, click the settings button at the top right of the order card.

What you can do

Enable or disable individual to-dos for that order. For example, if an order doesn't need a rubbing, you can turn that to-do off so it doesn't clutter the checklist.

Add custom badges to the order. These are custom to-do items you create yourself for anything that isn't covered by the default checklist.

Good to know

Most to-dos auto-activate based on what the order contains. Monument orders automatically get stone, stencil, and engraving to-dos. If the order has a porcelain, the porcelain to-do appears. If it's a service order, only the relevant service to-dos show up.

This is not only worked out when the order is created. On an order created with Save as Confirmed Order, saving an edit re-checks it, so adding a vase, a porcelain, an etching or a foundation to an order that is already running adds the matching to-do there and then. To-dos are only ever added this way, never taken away. An order still in the Quote stage, and an order that started as a quote and was moved forward on the board, are not topped up by later edits.

The settings button lets you override this for individual orders when you need to.

Switching a to-do off is not always permanent. Turning one off removes it from the order. If the thing that triggers it is still on the order, say the vase is still there or the stone's Foundation Material is still Concrete or Granite, the next time somebody edits that order and saves, MonuDesk adds the to-do back. That top-up only happens on orders created with Save as Confirmed Order. On an order still in the Quote stage, or one that started as a quote and was moved forward on the board, a to-do you switch off stays off. To be rid of it for good, take the item off the order itself. For a foundation that means setting Foundation Material to None on the stone, and that is enough on its own even if a foundation size or price is still typed in. One exception: if the cemetery on the order has Foundation Required ticked, the Foundation to-do is raised by the cemetery and comes back whatever the stone says. To-dos you added by hand, and to-dos with no trigger such as Payment and Inspection, stay off once you switch them off.

Note: For advanced to-do settings that apply across all orders, go to Settings β†’ To-Dos. This is covered in How to Configure To-Dos.
