How Families Review and Approve a Drawing

Families approve their monument drawings right from the customer portal, and MonuDesk keeps a record of exactly what was approved and when. This applies only to drawings you have shared as External.
What the family does
On the portal, all external drawings appear in a gallery. The family selects the drawings they want to approve and clicks Approve Selected. A short 2 minute countdown starts, during which they can click Undo Approval to back out. If the countdown finishes without an undo, the approval locks in and the portal turns view-only for that order. The family does not need to keep the page open for this: even if they close their browser right after approving, the approval still locks in and reaches your team.
After approval
Approved drawings show Approved on [date] on the portal. Any drawing that was not part of that batch still shows Awaiting approval but can no longer be approved from the portal. If the family later needs to approve more drawings, your team handles those from the order side.
What you receive
When the approval locks, you get an email listing each approved drawing, who approved it, and when, with a button that opens the order in MonuDesk. If your workflow includes a Family Approval Pending to-do, it checks off automatically.
Approving in person
If the family is in your office and approves the design face to face, your team can approve on their behalf instead of sending them through the portal. See How to View and Download Documents for the manual path.
