With MonuDesk Max, families can ask you for a quote straight from your own website. Settings → Website Leads gives you snippets to paste into your site: a short contact form, and a Design your monument button that opens MonuStudio, the 3D monument designer. Every request lands on your Orders board as a quote with the family's details filled in, and your team hears about it straight away.

Note: Website leads are part of MonuDesk Max. On Basic, Legacy or Pro, Website Leads carries a Max chip in the Settings menu, and Settings → Website Leads shows a blurred preview of the page under Available with MonuDesk Max. Learn more there shows what Max adds. See What's Included in MonuDesk Max.

Step 1: Turn on website leads

Open Settings → Website Leads. In the Accept leads from your website card, switch on Website leads are on. Your snippets appear below it. Changing anything on this page needs the Edit settings entries permission.

Switching it off stops your form from taking requests. A family who opens it then sees This form is not available.

Step 2: Paste the snippets on your website

Each snippet has its own card with a Copy snippet button. Copy it and paste it into your website where it should appear; in most website builders that is an HTML or embed block. Open shows the form or MonuStudio on a page of its own, so you can try it first. A request you send there to test it lands on your board like any other, so cancel that quote afterwards.

  • Lead form: a short Get in touch form. It picks up Google Ads clicks by itself and lands every request in your Quote stage. A small Powered by MonuDesk line sits under it.

  • Google Ads conversions (optional): paste it after the form snippet so Google Ads counts a conversion on your own page each time a family sends a request. It calls the Google tag on your page. Replace the send_to value with your own conversion label from Google Ads.

  • MonuStudio on your website: adds a Design your monument button. It opens MonuStudio full screen on your page, and when a family sends their design it lands on your board as a lead. A small Powered by MonuDesk link sits under the button.

Leads for more than one location

With two or more locations, the Which location gets the leads card appears. Every lead lands in one location: that location gets the lead email, and its team gets the notification.

  • Leads from your main website go to picks the location for your main website. Your main location is marked (main location).

  • Show the snippets below for switches the snippets on the page between Your main website and one location's own web page (The [location] page). A location's own snippets always send leads to that location, and its form shows that location's name and logo.

What MonuStudio offers on your website

The What MonuStudio offers on your website card sets what a family can design:

  • Simple (recommended): a shape and a granite, the words, emblems and a vase. No sizes, no lettering styles, no panels.

  • Full studio: every step of MonuStudio, including the stone's sizes and finishes, the lettering and lettering panels.

The first page starts from sets where a family begins, with Simple and with Full studio:

  • The stones set up below: your own row of stones, see the next section. Until you add stones to your row, it shows the shape tiles with Simple and your sold stones with Full studio.

  • Our most popular sold stones: the monuments you sell most, with their granite and sizes.

  • Our latest sold stones: the monuments you sold most recently, with their granite and sizes.

  • Shapes (Simple only): a few shapes as tiles; a tile takes the sizes of a stone you sold in that shape.

With Simple, two more choices appear:

  • Shapes (with the Shapes start): tick the shapes to offer, from Serp Top, Flat Top, Oval Top, Double Heart, Wave Top, Triangle Top and Apex. Serp Top, Flat Top and Oval Top are ticked to begin with, and at least one stays ticked.

  • What a family can change: switches for Granite colours (the granites you have sold, then the catalogue), Font, Emblems (twelve simple emblems: roses, flowers, crosses, a dove) and Vase (a vase beside the stone). All four start switched on.

Your website picks up these choices by itself. The card also suggests pasting the MonuStudio on your website snippet again after a change, which keeps the copy on your site in step.

The stones families see first

The stones families see first is the row of stones a family starts from when The first page starts from is The stones set up below. With another start chosen, the card says that families do not see these stones and points you to The stones set up below.

  • Add from past orders opens Start from a stone you have sold. Pick one and it opens in MonuStudio.

  • Design a new one opens MonuStudio on a new stone.

Change what you like and click Apply to Quote, which works once you have changed something. The stone is saved with its picture and joins the end of the row. Each card shows Option 1, Option 2 and so on, with the granite, shape and size. Open in MonuStudio changes a stone, the arrows move it up or down, and the bin removes it. The first card is the first option families see. Your website picks up the row by itself, without pasting the snippet again.

Limits for families

The Limits for families card sets what a family can do in MonuStudio on your website, with Simple and with Full studio. Your team in MonuDesk is never limited. Make your changes and click Save limits. They reach your website right away, with no need to paste the snippet again.

  • Text only on small flat markers: switch it on, then set Text only on flat markers up to [N] inches wide (16 to begin with). Flat, bevel and grass markers up to that width get names and dates only, no emblems. Families see Emblems are available on larger stones. Our team can help you choose one., and an emblem already on the stone comes off. The switch starts off.

  • How much a family can write: Most lettering lines (6 to begin with, up to 20) and Most characters per line (40 to begin with, up to 200). Families see a short note such as Up to 40 characters per line., and at the line limit You can use up to 6 lines here. Our team can help if you need more.

  • Fonts families can pick: tick the fonts you carve. Search fonts finds one in the list. With none ticked, families can pick any font. With one ticked, families get that font and no choice. A design that arrives in another font is moved to one you allow.

Your cemetery in MonuStudio

Your cemetery in MonuStudio lets families see their design standing in a cemetery you sell into. Take a 360° photo where a new stone would go, with a phone app that saves 360° photos, such as Google Street View. Click Upload 360° photo, pick the photo, then click the photo where the stone should stand. Replace photo and Remove change it later. A 360° photo is twice as wide as it is tall; if yours is not, MonuDesk tells you.

Text the family back

Text the family back sends the family an automatic text the moment their request arrives. It starts switched off. Switch on Send an automatic text, write your Message and click Save message. You can use {firstName} and {companyName} in the message. With the message left empty, MonuDesk sends: Hi [first name], this is [your company]. We received your request and will call you shortly. Your own message is sent as you wrote it. A text goes out only when the family left a phone number. It comes from MonuDesk's texting number, and replies to that number do not reach you, so put your shop's phone number in your message for families who want to call or text you back.

Reset link, in the Reset the link card, gives your snippets a new link. Confirm with Reset. A green line under the button then reads New link created. Paste the new snippet on your website. Every snippet using the old link stops working right away, so copy your snippets again and paste them on your website. The website key of your Gallery is the same key, so also send your web developer the new website key and photo feed link from Website gallery in the Gallery or from Settings → Website Gallery. See How to Use the Product Gallery.

What the family sees

The form is headed Get in touch, with your logo if you have one, and reads Tell [your company] what you need and they will call you back. It asks for First name, Last name, Phone, Email and How can we help?. A first name and a phone number or email are required. After Send request, the family sees Thank you: [your company] received your request and will be in touch shortly.

MonuStudio opens full screen over your page and shows no prices. Its header carries a small Powered by MonuDesk link to monudesk.com. With Simple, the family goes through a few short pages:

  1. Shape and colour: one of your stones or a shape, and a granite.

  2. Inscription: the family name, dates and an epitaph, within your Limits for families.

  3. Emblems: an emblem if they like, and a vase beside the stone when Vase is on. With Emblems off and Vase on, this page is Vase.

When the design looks right, the family clicks Send my design. The Send this design to [your company] window shows the front and back of the design under What [your company] receives, with an amber note. Its first line is in bold: This is not a final quote. Every cemetery has its own rules, so [your company] will confirm the design and the price with you, usually within 24 hours. Under it: One of our team will call you to go over the design and the price. It asks for Your name, Phone, Email, Address, Cemetery and Anything they should know?. A name and a phone number or email are required. On a small screen the window scrolls, and Send request stays in view. After Send request, the family sees Request sent, and MonuStudio closes a moment later.

What arrives in MonuDesk

Every request becomes a quote in your Quote column, at the location it was sent to. If the phone number or email matches a contact you already have, the quote goes on that contact; if not, MonuDesk creates a new one.

  • On the board, the card carries a green Website tag, or an amber Ad tag when the family came from a Google ad.

  • In the order, the header shows Source: Website form or Source: MonuStudio (website). On Order Details, a Website lead box above the customer information shows where it came from (Website form or MonuStudio design), From Google Ads with the campaign when it came from an ad, the Message from the family, and Details such as the landing page.

  • A MonuStudio request also brings the stone (type, shape, sizes, granite and finishes), the inscription with the decedent's name and dates, and the front and back pictures of the design as the order's front and back drawings. The address and cemetery the family typed are in their message. Open design in the Website lead box opens their design in MonuStudio in a new tab.

  • A form request brings the family's name, phone, email and message. It has no monument until you add one.

Your team hears about it at once:

  • The bell: every owner, and everyone who works at the lead's location, gets a New website lead notification with the family's name and how to reach them. Click it to open the quote.

  • Phone pushes: each person decides whether website leads are among their phone pushes with the Website leads switch on the Notifications card in Settings → Profile.

  • Email: New website lead: [name] goes to the email address of the lead's location, or to your company email when the location has none. It holds the family's details, their message, the design for a MonuStudio request, and an Open in MonuDesk button.

The Website Leads report

With MonuDesk Max (the plan or a Max pilot), Website Leads in the sidebar, between Installations and PO Tracking, opens the Website leads and ads report: which leads came in from your website form and MonuStudio, what became of them, and what your Google Ads cost. Below Max the sidebar leaves it out. It needs the same permission as Order Summary.

  • Leads received picks the days: Last 7 days, Last 30 days (the default), Last 90 days or Custom range.

  • The top row shows Leads (with how many came from ads), Priced quotes and Confirmed orders (each with its share of the leads) and Confirmed revenue.

  • With Google Ads connected, Ad spend (with the clicks), Cost per lead and Cost per confirmed order follow. Both costs count the leads that came from an ad. Ad spend covers all your locations, so the two costs show only when the report covers every location. Without Google Ads, a Connect Google Ads link sits there instead.

  • By campaign splits the same numbers by Google Ads campaign.

  • The list of leads shows when each one was received, the family, how it came through (Website form or MonuStudio design), the campaign, its status (Open, Confirmed or Cancelled) and the quote total. Click a lead to open it in the order popup.

The same report is on the Dashboard too. In the Business Intelligence card, switch Charts | Website leads to Website leads: it has the same filter and numbers, and Open full report goes to the page. The switch is there on a phone as well. Below Max, the Website leads view shows a blurred sample under Available with MonuDesk Max.

Price the lead and email the family

While a website lead is still a quote, you can price it and email the family the price from the order itself. Your role needs Can see prices to see the box and Edit quotes and orders to send the price.

  1. Open the quote. A form request has no monument: add it first with Edit Quote. A MonuStudio request arrives with its stone.

  2. On Order Details, type your prices into the Customer Pricing box. They save as you go, and the total adds up underneath.

  3. Click Send price. The Email this price to [name]? window shows the address it goes to and what the family gets. Click Yes, send price. Tick Don't show this again to skip this window next time.

The family gets an email, Your monument price from [your company], with every line from your pricing box, the total in your company's currency, the front picture of the design when the quote has one (such as their MonuStudio design), the order number and your phone number. Replies go to the person assigned to the order, or, when nobody is assigned, to the email address of the order's location (your company email when it has none). Once it has gone out, the button reads Send again.

Changed the price? Click Send again; its tip shows when the price was last emailed. Sending a price does not move the quote. It stays in the Quote stage until you move it.

When the box is read-only or Send price is greyed out, a note under the box or the button's tip says why:

  • No monument on this lead yet. Add it with Edit Quote, then price it here. Add the monument with Edit Quote and the box opens for pricing.

  • This quote has items this box can't total. Change prices with Edit Quote. The quote has more than one stone, a vault, a QR code or an administrative fee. Price it in Edit Quote, then come back and click Send price.

  • This lead left no email address. Call them with the price. Add an email address with Edit Quote to send the price by email.

  • Enter the prices above first. Send price waits for a total above zero.

Once the order is confirmed, Send price goes away and the box works as on any other order.

Good to know

  • Picking Website form or MonuStudio (website) as the lead source in + New Quote marks a quote you typed in yourself as a website lead too, with the same tag and Send price.

  • Without Max, the form and MonuStudio on your website take no new requests. If website leads are still switched on, Settings → Website Leads says so: Website leads are part of MonuDesk Max. Your form does not take new leads until the company has Max. You can still turn it off here.

  • To import your ad spend and send confirmed orders back to Google Ads, see How to Connect Google Ads.
