Level 8 makes you fluent with the corners of MonuDesk most users never explore: deep search, board filters, notes and files, and the QuickBooks integration. Takes about 8 minutes.

Step 1: Search like a power user

Smart Search hits customer name, decedent name, cemetery, stone color, order number, phone, email and more. It starts after three characters and highlights the match on the card.

Step 2: Filters on the board

Filter by stage, date, customer type, and tasks. Filters combine with AND logic, so "In Production" plus "Stencil" shows exactly the orders waiting on a stencil in production.

Step 3: Notes and Files

Categories, internal vs external visibility, drawing approval files, and .eml files for storing email threads on the order.

Step 4: Connect QuickBooks

Connect QuickBooks Online so your payments and invoices sync automatically.

If you are going to import your inventory from QuickBooks, set one thing first. Go to Settings β†’ Integrations β†’ QuickBooks and tell MonuDesk which order your QuickBooks item names put the numbers in, for example whether Bevel 24x10x4 means width by height by thickness or something else. MonuDesk shows you a worked example of how a sample size will be read, and asks you to confirm before every import. Getting this wrong brings your whole catalog in with the sizes in the wrong boxes, which then matches the wrong stones on quotes. The setting only affects future imports, and items already in MonuDesk are left alone.
