How to Use the Product Gallery

Browse every photo and drawing from your orders in one place, filed by monument or service type. A Pro feature.

The Product Gallery gathers every photo and drawing uploaded to your orders, active and archived, in one place and files them by the kind of work. Open it from Gallery in the sidebar, marked with a blue New pill. With MonuDesk Max, the photos you pick also show in a gallery on your own website.

Pro feature: the Product Gallery is part of the Pro plan. Companies without Pro see the Pro pitch on the page.

How photos are filed

Each photo is filed into a folder by its order's type:

  • Monument orders file under the monument type, your custom monument types included.

  • Service orders file under the service type's name.

  • An order with two stones files into both stones' folders.

Next to the type folders you also have All photos and Unsorted.

Finding a photo

  • Type in the Search order, customer or cemetery box to narrow the gallery.

  • Use the Everything / Photos / Drawings switch to show one kind.

  • Use the Cleared only filter to see just the photos marked cleared.

  • With MonuDesk Max, use the On website filter to see just the photos shown on your website.

Working with one photo

Click a photo to open it in a lightbox, and use previous and next to move through the photos. From the lightbox:

  • Open order takes you to the order the photo belongs to.

  • Mark cleared marks the photo as cleared, so it shows under Cleared only.

  • Hide from gallery hides the photo for your whole team. Hidden (N) shows the hidden photos, and Unhide brings one back. A hidden photo never shows on your website.

  • Show on website (MonuDesk Max, for people whose role can edit settings) puts the photo in the gallery on your website. The button then reads On your website; click it again to take the photo off. To show a hidden photo there, unhide it first.

Working with several photos

Click Select in the Gallery toolbar to pick several photos at once. The button then reads Cancel. In select mode, clicking a photo selects it instead of opening it, and shift-click selects every photo between the last one you picked and this one. Clicking the check circle on a photo also starts select mode. A bar at the bottom shows how many photos are selected, with these actions:

  • Hide takes the photos out of the gallery. They stay on their orders, and Hidden shows them again. When every selected photo is hidden, as in the hidden view, the button reads Unhide and puts them back in the gallery.

  • Mark cleared means the customer has agreed these photos can be shown to others, like other families or your website. Cleared only then shows just these.

  • Download saves each selected photo as its own file.

  • Show on website and Remove from website (MonuDesk Max, for people whose role can edit settings). Show on website leaves out any hidden photo in the selection.

To stop selecting, press Esc, click Cancel or click the X on the bar.

Hidden and cleared photos are shared with your team

Hiding a photo or marking it cleared is saved for your whole company, so everyone on your team sees the same Gallery. Anyone who can open the Gallery can hide, unhide and clear photos.

When this browser holds hidden or cleared photos that your company has not saved, a banner asks about them: Saved only in this browser: [N] hidden photos and [N] cleared photos. Save them so your whole team sees them? Save for my team saves them for everyone. Discard drops them from this browser.

With MonuDesk Max, the photos you pick in the Gallery show in a gallery on your own website. Visitors there can sort them by stone type, colour and location. Take a photo down in MonuDesk and it leaves your website too.

  • Pick the photos. Open a photo and click Show on website, or select several and click Show on website. Each published photo carries a blue globe badge, On your website. Picking and removing photos needs a role that can edit settings.

  • Only photos go on your website. Invoices, contracts and other generated documents can't be published. They stay private.

  • Take a photo down with Remove from website on a selection, or click On your website in the photo viewer. Hiding a photo takes it off your website as well.

Connect your website

The Website gallery button at the top of the Gallery shows how many photos are on your website. It opens Your website gallery, with a For your web developer box to send to whoever builds your website:

  • Website key: the same key your website lead form uses. If your company has none, click Create website key. Creating it needs a role that can edit settings.

  • Photo feed: the link your web developer reads the photos from. It works from any website.

Each one has a Copy button. The feed gives each photo's stone type, colour and location, never prices or customer details. Your web developer connects your site once, and after that the website gallery keeps itself up to date.

The same For your web developer box is in Settings β†’ Website Gallery, below Photos on your website, which shows how many photos are on your website and has an Open Gallery button. Below Max, that page shows blurred under Available with MonuDesk Max.

Reset link in Settings β†’ Website Leads gives your company a new website key, so send your web developer the new key and photo feed link after a reset. See Website Leads: Get Quotes from Your Website.

Below Max, the top of the Gallery shows Connect Gallery to Website with a Max badge. It opens the pitch for the website gallery, with Upgrade to Max.
