New MonuDesk accounts get a Shop Setup checklist once the welcome setup and plan choice are done. It walks you through the settings that make your first real orders go smoothly, and it ticks each step off by itself when you do the thing.

Where to find it

On a computer (a screen 1024 pixels wide or more), the checklist sits on the right edge of every page as a tab that reads, for example, Shop Setup Β· 3 of 10. Click the tab to open it as a panel. The double-arrow button at the top of the panel folds it back to the tab. When you open Settings, the same checklist shows as a rail inside the Settings window.

The steps

  1. Company profile: your address and phone in Settings β†’ Company Profile. They go on every quote, invoice and portal page your customers see.

  2. What shows on your order cards: pick what sits at the top of each card in Settings β†’ Card Display and save.

  3. Photo and vase sizes and prices: set them up once in Settings β†’ Accessories, with Configure accessories. Or drop your price list on the step (Excel, CSV, PDF or a photo, up to 50 MB): the file comes straight to our team and we import it within one working day.

  4. Your cemeteries: add them in Settings β†’ Cemeteries, using the full name the cemetery uses itself. Or drop your cemetery list on the step and we import it within one working day. You can also import a cemetery spreadsheet yourself in Settings β†’ Import: the step ticks off once you have a cemetery of your own, added or imported.

  5. The two demo orders on your board: Alice Doe and John Jones are examples so you can see a filled board (a company that signed up in German has Erika Mustermann and Petra Beispiel). Click Got it here, or use Got it or Remove demo orders in the note on the Orders board.

  6. Invite your team: everyone who touches an order should have a login. Invite them from Settings β†’ Team, or click It is just me.

  7. Your documents: check the contract text and the wording on your quotes and invoices in Settings β†’ Documents before the first one goes out, and save.

  8. MonuPay: send your MonuPay application in Settings β†’ Integrations so families can pay you by card from their portal link. This step appears for US and Canadian companies, where MonuPay is offered.

  9. Order deadline alerts: choose how many days before a promise date MonuDesk warns you, on the Order Deadline Alerts card in Settings β†’ Order Alerts, and save.

  10. Book your onboarding call: 30 minutes with our team, on your screen, with your own orders. Book the call opens the booking page in a new tab, and Skip settles the step too.

Under Optional you also find Your workflow stages: rename the stages to match how your shop works. It does not count toward the checklist.

Open, Skip and Remind me

  • Open takes you to the settings page for that step.

  • Skip counts the step as done without doing it. It shows as Skipped, with Undo to bring it back.

  • Remind me sets a reminder for 24 hours later, and its bell icon turns into a green check for a moment. It shows under Your Personal Tasks β€Ί Reminders on the Dashboard and links back to the step.

When you are done

Once the last step is done, the checklist reads Your shop is set up. with a Create your first quote button: "Every contact, cemetery and stone you enter is saved. Next time, type two letters and pick it." Start the quote, or close the checklist with the X, and it goes away for good.
