How to Give a Family Several Quote Options
Price Quote A, B and C for the same family in one job, switch between them in the New Quote wizard, and confirm the one they choose.

Families often want to compare before they decide: a gray upright against a black one, a single against a companion, with or without a vase. Instead of building separate orders, you can keep up to five quote options, Quote A to Quote E, in one job. Each option is a complete quote with its own stones, pricing and configuration.
Where the quote switcher is
Open + New Quote, or Edit Quote on a quote you already saved. The summary card on the right of the wizard shows which quote and which stone you are working on.
While the job has one quote and one stone, this is a single slim row reading QUOTE A Β· STONE A, with a + button at the end.
Once the job has two or more quotes or stones, it becomes a Quote row of letter pills (A, B, Cβ¦) with a Stone row under it for the stones in the quote you have open. Each row has its own β― menu.
Fill in the client details first. Until the quote has a client, the menu reads "Fill in the client details first, then add quotes."
Add a quote option
Click + on the slim row, or β― on the Quote row.
Choose Add quote option to start a fresh option for the same client, with no stones, pricing or accessories yet. Or choose Duplicate quote option to copy the quote you have open and change only what differs.
MonuDesk saves the quote you are on, creates the new option and opens it. At five options, both actions are greyed out with "Maximum 5 quotes per job."
Switch between options
Click a letter in the Quote row. MonuDesk saves the option you are on before it opens the other one, so switching keeps your changes. The Stone row below always shows the stones of the option you have open.
Remove an option
Open the option, then choose β― β Remove quote option. MonuDesk asks "Remove Quote B?": the option leaves the order board, and its pricing and configuration are kept on file. Click Remove Quote B to go ahead. A job always keeps at least one quote.
Stones inside an option
Each option carries its own stones, up to 12. The Stone row's β― menu holds Add stone, Duplicate stone, Rename stone and Remove stone. Learn more: How to Configure the Monument Type, Color, Size and Finishes
What the options share
Notes, the files on Notes & Files and the Activity Timeline belong to the whole job, so you see the same ones whichever option is open, including a document you generated while a different option was selected. The cemetery notes stay the same on every option too.
Purchase orders, payment notes and supplier notes stay with the option they were made for, because they describe that option's price and stones.
On the order board
A job with several options stays one card on the board, labelled with how many quotes it holds (for example 3 quotes), so the board does not fill up with one card per option. The Dashboard's Business Intelligence counts the job once too.
Confirm the option the family chose
Open the order from the board. At the top of Order Details you see a tab per option: Quote A, Quote B and so on. Click a tab to look at that option.
On the option the family chose, click the green check next to its letter.
In "Confirm Quote B for your client?", click Yes, Confirm Quote.
The chosen option becomes the job's quote and the other options are dismissed. They stay in the tab row, greyed out, and you can click one to view it read-only. This choice is final. The green check is offered while the order is in the Quote stage, and once an option is confirmed the wizard stops offering Add quote option and Duplicate quote option on that job.
The family can also choose in the customer portal. Under Choose Your Memorial they tap an option and press Confirm Quote A (or the letter they picked). You get Quote option chosen on the Activity Timeline and a notification, and the chosen option becomes the order.
Confirming an option picks the quote; it does not move the order out of the Quote stage. When the family is ready to go ahead, confirm the order as usual. Learn more: How to Confirm a Quote Into an Order
