MonuDesk has an iPhone app. It is the same MonuDesk account you use on a computer, laid out for your phone, with your notifications sent straight to your iPhone. Anything you change in the app shows up on your computer straight away, and the other way round.

Get the app

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone and search for MonuDesk.

  2. Tap Get to install it. The app is free.

  3. Open it and sign in with your MonuDesk email and password. Tick Remember me so the app keeps you signed in.

Already at your computer? Click Get the iPhone app in the left sidebar, above Roadmap. It opens MonuDesk on your iPhone with a QR code: point your iPhone camera at the code to open the App Store. Open in the App Store opens the same App Store page in your browser. The item is not shown inside the iPhone app.

The app is for signing in to an existing MonuDesk account. To start a new account, sign up for MonuDesk in your browser, then sign in in the app. Teammates you invite sign in with their own email and password.

The app is made for iPhone. On an iPad or an Android phone, use MonuDesk in your browser. Learn more: Using MonuDesk on Your Phone

Notifications on your iPhone

Notifications reach your iPhone from version 1.0.1 of the app. If your iPhone has an older version, update MonuDesk in the App Store first.

After you sign in, the app asks whether it may send you notifications. Tap Allow, and the notifications you see under the bell in MonuDesk also arrive on your iPhone, for example a task or an order assigned to you, an @-mention in a note, or a reminder that is due. You are never notified about something you did yourself.

Tap a notification to open the right place: the order it is about with the assigned task highlighted, or the reminder itself.

To turn them off or back on, open your iPhone's Settings β†’ Notifications β†’ MonuDesk.

To choose which kinds reach your iPhone, or to pause them overnight, open Settings β†’ Profile in MonuDesk and use the Notifications card. Switch Push notifications off, turn on Quiet hours, or switch off a kind under Push me about. Drawing Reminders, sent when a confirmed order still has no drawing, follow the Drawings & approvals switch. The bell in MonuDesk keeps every notification either way.

Notifications go to whoever is signed in to the app. When you log out, that iPhone gets no more notifications for you until you sign in again.

Getting around

The bar along the bottom holds Dashboard, Orders, Scanner and More, with a round search button beside it for finding any order. Order pages, the document scanner, bottom drawers and Catch up on your notifications all work the same as in the phone layout described in Using MonuDesk on Your Phone.

To scan paperwork into an order, tap Scanner, then Take photo or Choose from photos. Check the page in Adjust corners, pick the order under Which order do these pages belong to?, choose the document type and tap Upload N pages. The pages land in that order's Notes & Files.

Settings is under More. It opens as a full page with a back arrow at the top left, and the bar along the bottom shrinks while you scroll. In the app, Settings leaves out Team, Billing, Order Management, Stages, Card Display, Order Alerts, To-Dos, Taxes, Stone Itemisation, Accessories and Integrations. Open those on a computer. To sign out, open More β†’ Settings β†’ Profile, scroll to the bottom and tap Log out.

If your company has more than one location, a location chip at the top of Dashboard and next to the search on Orders opens Choose location. Pick All Locations or one location, the same as the location switcher on a computer.

The app gives a light tap you can feel when you save something, switch tabs or switches, pick up an order card to move it, or catch a scan.

Your plan and billing

Your plan, invoices and payment details are managed in MonuDesk on a computer, under Settings β†’ Billing. Your subscription works the same in the app, and every page your plan includes opens there as usual. To start a Pro trial or upgrade, open MonuDesk on a computer.
